Sheena
Metal is a Los Angeles entertainment icon, lighting
up radio, television and film. Sheena has anchored numerous

The FM Talk Station where she helmed five successful

Booty Call”, “Sheena and The Princess”,
“Sheena and Sam”). Her untouchable wit,
unforgettable voice and unflinching fan base have proven
Sheena to be an undeniable radio presence. Sheena’s
radio career was the subject of a comprehensive five-page
feature in the Los Angeles Times Sunday Calendar section,
as well as being featured numerous times in the LA Weekly,
Daily News, Music Connection, and dozens of other periodicals.
In addition, Metal was interviewed and quoted in Michael
C. Keith’s “Sounds in the Dark”, currently
in publication with a forward by Larry King. Currently
she hosts “Music Highway” internationally
syndicated on over 700 affiliates to nearly 130 million
listeners.
In
addition, Sheena owns and runs Sheena Metal Productions™
a multi-faceted production company that has specialized
in: Radio Production, Music Promotion, Television and
Film Production. She penned and produced the LA Cable
Comedy hit “Sheena Metal’s Freakin’
Rock Review” (in which she also starred), as well
as the tongue-in-cheek TV Soap Opera “WeHo Stories”.
Known for her biting sense of humor, Metal appeared
as a comedic commentator on “National Inquirer
TV” and has headlined and emceed two long-running
stand-up comedy nights at The Laugh Factory in Hollywood
(Sheena Metal’s Midnight Madness” and “Inside
the Girl’s Locker Room) the latter of which was
an all-girl comedy night featured in the Los Angeles
Times. Recently, Sheena has appeared on the big screen,
acting in the sexy comedy “Treasure Hunt”
and the indie drama “Changing Spots”. In
2006, she joined Ally Sheedy (“The Breakfast Club”)
and Kathryn Erbe (“Law & Order: Criminal Intent”)
onstage in New York City for a celebrity charity run
of “The Vagina Monologues”. In early 2007,
Metal will be developing a mockumentary reality TV series,
that she will also write and star in.
In
2003, Sheena Metal founded an independent music organization,
Music Highway. Boasting over 10,000 members worldwide,
Music Highway is one of the biggest and most artist-friendly
independent music resources on the web. Promoting more
than ten live music shows a month in Los Angeles, Sheena
has booked artists in venues such as such as The Key
Club, The Troubadour, The Gig (where she promoted their
opening night celebration), and Slim Jim Phantom’s
Cat Club (where she hosted a night for George Clooney’s
HBO series “Unscripted”) Currently, Metal
books a variety of clubs from the upscale Knitting Factory
(“Songs Rock!: An Industry Showcase”) to
neighborhood industry hang-out Universal Bar and Grill
(“Sheena and Friends”) in Universal City.
Sheena’s
vast experience in many aspects of entertainment has
made her a sought-after featured writer for the Los
Angeles Times, Music Connection, LA Weekly, Curve, Unsigned,
and All Access, as well as a variety of other magazines.
She recently began a syndicated column, “Music
Highway” as a companion to her weekly radio show,
which has attained over 20 literary affiliates in just
a few months.
From
her eccentric beginnings as a cable access TV cult figure,
to LA music industry icon, mainstream talk radio host,
indie film character actress, headlining stand-up comic,
New York stage actress, and in-demand journalist. Sheena
Metal has truly earned the title Queen of the Nighttime
World.
