Emperor Magus Caligula To Leave DARK FUNERAL
In an official statement from Emperor Magus Caligula, longtime vocalist of Swedish black metal battalion DARK FUNERAL: “I would like to inform all of our fans that on Saturday, August 21, at the Summer Breeze festival in Germany, I will be doing my last show with the band. Naturally I have mixed feelings about this decision, but it is final! They say that every person will have about 15 minutes of fame during their life. Well, I have had a hell-of-a-ride for 15 years now together with Lord Ahriman and DARK FUNERAL. As some people love to spread weird rumors about others, let me make this clear once and for all. I have not committed suicide, I have not taken an overdose, nor are there any personal issues between me and DARK FUNERAL.
However, my life has taken a new turn lately, and I am also getting married this year, thus my priorities in life lie somewhere else.I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fans for their amazing support during all the 15 years I’ve been with the band. And I would also like to thank my brothers in DARK FUNERAL for all these years together. Lord Ahriman and I have managed to raise DARK FUNERAL from the deepest abyss, when we have confronted problems before. And there is no doubt in my mind, that DARK FUNERAL, without me, will raise once more, stronger than ever…
Thus I have spoken, thus shalt it be…… — Horns up, Masse Broberg A.K.A Emperor Magus Caligula”

TAJ WEEKES AND ADOWA RELEASE ‘RAIN RAIN,’ FIRST SINGLE FROM NEW CD, A WATERLOGGED SOUL KITCHEN
Jatta Records presents Taj Weekes and Adowa’s ground breaking third album, A Waterlogged Soul Kitchen, set for worldwide release on August 10, 2010. Their debut single, Rain Rain, ushers in a deluge of fresh reggae songs laced with acoustic strings including guitar, violin and cello with splashes of soulful harmonica and a touch of afro-folk simplicity for an album that will challenge listeners to redefine common perceptions of reggae and where it’s heading as a genre.
Originally prompted by the circumstances created by Hurricane Katrina, Rain Rain laments the delayed and often ineffectual action following the devastating events experienced by residents of Louisiana and neighboring states in August 2005. Weekes vocalizes, “When the Rain Rain washed away / caring went away / now love’s gone dry beneath a saturated sky.” Weekes adds, “It seems appropriate that the song is ready for release just as the five-year anniversary of the disaster is commemorated.”
However, Weekes continues, “Though Rain Rain references Katrina, the message goes above and beyond the isolated story of a flood and brings to mind the continuous downpour of human suffering and natural disasters the world over and how quickly we forget.” He sings, “The newsreels are all soaked / the day the levees broke / since no one’s speaking / the roof’s still leaking. Now love’s down to a drizzle / memories how they fizzle / amnesia’s in they’ve forgotten.”
Music Review – Joe Berry

Listening to this artist takes me back in time to when Country Music had a whole different meaning. Within the Nashville of the early 1970s, talent was a given to many great artist like Charlie Rich. Joe Berry as a artist and seeing him perform with his jazzy piano work, reflects a raw integrity that no one else can sell to the world but him.
One thing i can say Joe Berry’s music is the kind of music and artist that holds up, and endures though time. Compared to many of artist that change their style though their career this artist stay’s true to his roots as a Country artist.
Joe’s ability and desire to sing a country song with tinges of soul and compassion has been with him from early on. And if one considers music to be a language, then like a language, the vocabulary – the songs, the sounds, the productions always stay’s true to his roots.
