Blasting out of the Cairns and Far North Queensland region is a hard rock band named Echoed Silence. Currently the band, consisting of Tristan (Vocals), Wes (Guitar), Jason (Bass Guitar) Jethro (Drums) and Juz (Guitar) have developed a strong local following which has steadily grown with the release of their first demo CD titled, “Bittersweet No More” and single ‘Patient,’ that reached number 76 on the Triple J Unearthed charts.
Echoed Silence approaches every live performance with high enthusiasm and showmanship and have made a name for themselves by retaining a high energy throughout the performance. Echoed Silence is not a band to be taken lightly. The versatile sounds they achieve makes it difficult to label the band within any one genre and the band uses this to their advantage by appealing to a larger audience.
Over a mix of crunching guitar riffs, epic guitar solos, thundering bass and powerful drumming, Echoed Silence provides a more melodic vocal alternative to the generic heavy percussive vocals that one may come to expect when listening to similar styles of music, however still incorporating the heavier vocals when there is call for a little more attitude.

We started playing together about 13 years ago, making goofy songs. Well the next thing you know we decided to record our songs. We started playing music in our garages, we had a panisonic tape recorder, and a keyboard and a guitar effect processer, a GT-3, and a casio keyboard, and a cheap radioshack mic. We our friends with allot of bands, metal and punk bands, one band, I would like to mention, is the Horrifcs, they are kick ass.Dave and I met when I was 20 about to turn 21. Dave was 18, we are best friends, have been for a long time.
Dave is like my little bro.I remember the first time I met Dave. He was in a jam shirt, singing with a broom handle, and had a fro like Werid Al. I was like what the hell. But then we started talking about music and we had allot of things incommon with each other. Thats what started this band career. I guess you can say we are like a Werid Al meets Slayer/Metallica/Ramones/Misfits/Spinal Tap/The Cure a very werid combination,

Well, where to begin? It is hard to believe that it has been 20 years that Joe and I have been playing music together. So, let’s start at the beginning.
It was late summer of 1988 and I was playing in a Rush Tribute Band called Second Nature. We were thinking about getting a new guitar player and I just happened to have a music magazine and was reading the “musicians wanted” section. As I flipped through the pages, I noticed Joe’s write up and immediately I said we need to call this guy. I remember making the phone call on a very bright sunny Saturday afternoon. Joe answered the phone and we just clicked. I knew he was the perfect guitar player for our project. When Joe arrived at our practice house on Oakliegh Road for an audition, it was perfect. The guy could play the guitar so well and the decision was made that Joe was in as the new guitar player for Second Nature.
