Biography:
Eddie "Boddie" Story is a
name that is sure to be on the lips of many
in and outside of the music industry. He is
a native of Los Angeles, California but now
makes his home in the the state of Texas. Boddie
has been around music his entire life. He has
three older sister who made a name for themselves
in the 1960's Gospel genre era as The Stalworth
Singers. His mother (still living) was a Gospel
pianist and singer as well. Others musical family
members include cousin Kelly Price and R&B
/ Disco House artist Jimmy ROLAND!
Boddie
is truly a prolific songwriter. He writes all
styles of music from R&B to Gospel to Country.
His strongest influence as a singer was Mickey
Gilley. Boddie's inspiration for songs comes
as he drives his big rigg on the U.S. highways
while thinking of life experiences. Fortunately,
he writes of situations that many people have
experienced and they can definitely relate to
what he is feeling and attempting to convey.
Boddie
is also thankful for having an immediate family
member who has been involved as a professional
in the music industry for many years now, his
older brother, recording artist/entertainer
Jimmy ROLAND! Not unlike other professionals
in the industry, Jimmy refuses to listen to
music over the the telephone. Even though Boddie
was aware of this, one evening< Boddie called
Jimmy and left a song on Jimmy's answering service.
The "hook" of the song really caught
Jimmy's attention (which fortunately, came through
static-free). Jimmy returned the call, offered
to collaborate and thus the new single, "I
Want To Be Loved By You". The song is a
beautiful melodic wedding/love ballad that fit
Jimmy's lead vocal talents perfectly. The song
is currently receiving rotation on many radio
stations throughout the US and Canada. Wtih
the rising success of the single CD, Boddie
decided to release another of his compositions
which is a tribute to mothers entitled, "Mama'a
Love". With Boddie taking the job as lead
vocalist on this one, it is truly a Country
tribute to the mothers of the world.
Yes,
Boddie has traveled many roads and highways
in life and now it appears that he is certainly
on the road to STARDOM!
