Biography:
As a child, Andrew played all the instruments
he could get his hands on, including saxophone,
piano and keyboards, drums and percussion instruments,
and vocals.
By high school, Andrew was participating in
rock and jazz bands while polishing his techniques
and earning awards for his saxophone performances.
The unique creative direction of Andrew's musical
talents didn't truly begin blossoming until
forming a band known as Mean Majesty, during
his college years at Pratt Institute in 1990.
Andrew's progressive rock influence blended
with the folk-rock influences of the additional
members and Mean Majesty, with it's unique sound
and following of loyal fans, performed at many
parties, events, bars and clubs in Brooklyn
and Manhattan between 1990 and '91. The members
of the band soon graduated and went their separate
ways.
Growing
tired of the New York grind, Andrew relocated
to Florida, soon forming a new band with a more
direct rock and roll approach and professionalism.
The newly formed act; Arcane Substance, was
soon playing local scenes and Andrew was learning
the ropes all over again. A solid relationship
with the two other members of the band kept
things going for several years who's combined
professional attitudes and creativity developed
a rich collection of musical archives. These
three musicians became known as Emotive, a name
Andrew selected to express the feeling and vision
he had for his music. Andrew provided lead vocals,
keyboards, saxophone, and percussion for the
multi-member band, while the other members provided
bass and lead guitars as well as recording expertise
and a place to practice! Changes in additional
members continued as the sound and vision progressed.
The then multi member band consisted of Michael
Prisciantelli, Aybars Ocal, and Andrew Bearce. |
